Rules and Regulations


For events requiring a team of two people to participate, CROSS-COLLEGE PARTICIPATIONS ARE PERMITTED.

On-the-spot-entries (OTSEs) are permitted for all events except for Debates & Group Discussions i.e. OTSEs are permitted for Peripheral Events only. However, the number of OTSEs permitted is restricted. 


U
se of any language other than English is strictly prohibited. However, participants may use any such language while reproducing quotes, shlokas, poetry, excerpts from books etc.


Use of abusive language, profanities and/or slang vocabulary is strictly prohibited.


Participants who make defamatory remarks in their speeches or during the refutation may be disqualified.


Use of written material for reference during speeches is discouraged.


Participants are requested to adhere to a strict formal dress code.


Entry will be provided only on valid College ID or College fee receipt with a valid photo ID - Participations are accepted only from DEGREE COLLEGE students.


Any display of vulgarity/obscenity/misbehaviour will lead to immediate disqualification.


Revealing the College Name {unless specifically told to do so, by Team Rostrum Spectrum'11 i.e. the Organising Committee} at any point of time will lead to immediate disqualification.


The decisions of the Judges/the Organising Committee will be binding and final.


Use of cell phones/laptops/netbooks and/or any other electronic communication device is not permitted during the event {unless specified}. Participants are requested to switch off such devices during the event.


Any sharp objects/batteries/inflammable objects/lasers/torches will not be permitted in the College premises.


Violation of any event rules will lead to immediate disqualification.


Damage to the College property will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate disqualification.

The Organising Committee will not be held responsible for any loss of property or valuables.


The Organising Committee reserves the right to disqualify any participant.


The Organising Committee reserves the right to change any rules and regulations of the event.


The Organising Committee reserves the right to add/ cancel any event as also alter the timings of events.
